My Hand
I ran out to get my lunch today and had to wait in line in the drive-thru. I hadn't brought my journal, so I found this newsletter and drew on it. This is my hand for the hand challenge. I love drawing hands. Here is a contour drawing I did with a green Sharpie in college...
...and since this entry is all about hands, here is a link to artist Carol Gray's hand portraits.

I love the idea of drawing over printed material; I've done that occasionally in desperation. This is a really nice treatment!
These are wonderful, and you actually did both hands together! And in your car! Must go back and try at least one of those myself.
I should say, that although I can't quite remember, I do not think that the hands I drew in college were my own hands. They may have been...I just really have no idea. It would definitely be a challenge to draw both my hands like that, though.
I love this contour drawing. It conveys the essence of the hands, the most used part of ourselves. I think that they show our journey almost as much as our faces do.

Well, these are pretty amazing. Beautiful work!
I would have to say the most amazing part is how great you did while waiting in a drive thru line. I love how you seem to turn ANY spare minute into a drawing opportunity! The hands are great.
